22nd Annual MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl This Friday At Jenks

21st annual MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl between Jenks and Union

The 22nd annual MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl between Jenks and Union will kick off on Friday, September 12, at 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. This year’s game will be held at Allan Trimble Stadium, located at Jenks High School.

The MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl will be broadcast live on YurView, Cox Channel 3, and will be available to all Cox Contour customers through the Cox Contour Mobile App. Get tickets

Coaches and student athletes from both teams answered questions during a press conference at Jenks High School on at the Jenks Sharp Center, which is located on the north end of Allan Trimble Stadium.

The 22nd annual MidFirst Bank Backyard Bowl will be Jenks’ home opener. These programs have combined for 27 state titles. The teams split two games last season with Union winning the Backyard Bowl 9-3, but Jenks rolled 42-7 in a Class 6AI quarterfinal at Allan Trimble Stadium. Jenks will enter the game ranked No. 2 in 6AI behind Bixby. Union was ranked No. 4 going into its loss Friday against Stillwater. YurView (Cox-3) will carry the game.

MidFirst Bank has contributed nearly $575,000 through its partnership with Jenks and Union. MidFirst continues to contribute $14,000 to each school to be used for educational priorities and scholarships.

This year, we’re excited to take the field at Jenks Allan Trimble Stadium for the 22nd edition of this storied tradition, ready to showcase the passion, pride, and excellence that define Friday night football.”
